E-Campaign from LmhSoft is an inexpensive but powerful program. The standard version will send up to 2,000 emails. The professional version will send an unlimited number of emails. This product isn't as fast as a web based bulk email program, but it is cheaper in the long run and it has a multi-threaded email delivery engine so your SMTP server will not time out before all your emails have been sent.

The software has very few reporting features and some of the other products have a more user-friendly interface.

Feature Set:  

Some of the standout features of e-Campaign include the ability to code a webpage and then import it into the email without having to upload all the images or the style sheet. You can also import sound files and attach other files to your emails.

This email marketing software allows you to schedule a time to send your email blast and you can send it via an SMTP server, or bypass the server and send it directly from your computer. E-Campaign will automatically resend your bounced back emails immediately, or at a scheduled time.

Some good features you won't find in e-Campaign are email templates, an automatic unsubscribe button and you can't add an email address to your contacts list without adding it to the list on your desktop and then importing it into the program.

Installation/Setup:  

E-Campaign is very easy to install; we didn't encounter any problems. Just follow the normal install process, import your emailing list, choose your SMTP server settings or to send your email blast directly and your ready to start email marketing.

Ease of Use:  

The icons on the interface are small and lack function descriptions (See the screenshot on the details page). Also, editing/adding customer's email addresses is more complicated than it needs to be. Nevertheless, creating a bulk email is fairly simple.

Email Creation:  

You can create an email two different ways: code an HTML page complete with images, links and classes that reference a style sheet and then the program will copy the entire page into an email. The second option to create an email is to import all of the components individually.

Reporting:  

The only report that we could find is an error log that shows failed and successful emails.

Summary:  

Overall, e-Campaign is a good product. There aren't many reporting options and for the same price, you can get the #2 product, Group Mail.
