Handymailer from Bladesoft Corporation is one of the best email marketing programs on the market and is “TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award” winner. Even someone new to bulk email marketing will see results as they create effective campaigns with this product.

The only downfall of the software is its limited reporting section. Like many of the other email software, you won' t know how many recipients received and opened their emails.

Feature Set:  

Creating your own email campaign has never been so simple—Handymailer has all of the tools that you'll need to complete the job. With this software you can import HTML pages, add sound files, images, file attachments and an unsubscribe link.

The only email creation feature that this product doesn't have is pre-made templates that would make creating bulk emails a bit faster. Other than this, the program has everything that you need to create an effective marketing email.

Installation/Setup:  

Once you choose whether you want to use an SMTP or a DNS server to send your emails directly, the Handymailer setup wizard will guide you through the setup process. The wizard will also allow you to choose between two encoding methods, Quoted–Printable or Base64.

We didn't have any problems during the installation process.

Email Creation:  

Handymailer has all the standard email creation features. Your emails can be as simple as a text message or as complex as an entire HTML page, complete with images, style sheets, sound files, hyperlinks, email attachments and more.

A convenient option is a button that you can click to add an unsubscribe link—so you won't have to spend the extra time coding.

One feature that would add to the program is a screen where you could view the actual HTML code so you could make corrections directly from the Handymailer. As it is, you have to open a webpage with notepad or Wordpad, make the corrections and then import the final email.

Reporting:  

Handymailer has an error log that lists all successfully sent emails and a list of failed emails. This is about the extent of the reporting features. However, there is a feature that manages the subscribed, unsubscribed and bounced back emails.

The manufacturer recommends that you use a unique email address to receive these requests.

Summary:  

This good email marketing program is user–friendly and has many practical features that will help turn your marketing ideas into realities.
