Prospect Mailer from Internet Marketing Technologies is average bulk emailing software. The product is somewhat easy to use and has some good features to help you create your bulk emails.

This product is lacking some of the reporting features that other bulk email products offer.

Feature Set:  

Prospect Mailer has some handy features like a step-by-step wizard that walks you through the entire process of creating your mailing list, filtering out the emails you don't want on your list, creating a standard email, processing the email, blasting the email and checking your email list for duplicates and errors.

You can't create email groups, schedule blasts, automatically add an unsubscribe button to your email or receive a list of bounced back emails.

Installation/Setup:  

The setup took a bit longer because you have to enter all the information for the SMTP server manually. However, we didn't encounter any major problems during installation and setup.

Ease of Use:  

Prospect Mailer walks you through the entire process of building your contacts list creating a marketing email and sending it.

The navigation isn't very functional. You have to click the next button moving through the entire program until you reach the section you need. Quick access buttons could easily resolve the problem.

Email Creation:  

Creating an email with this product is fairly simple. You have the option to add hyperlinks, images, lines, change the background color and all the normal editing options like bold, italic, and left/right/center justification. You are also able to import an HTML document.

There are four ways you can view your email: Edit, Source, Preview and Plain Text mode.

This product does not provide templates to help you create your email.

Reporting:  

Prospect Mailer has "Process List" feature that will report the emails that have been duplicated, removed and loaded manually. There is also real-time report that runs simultaneously with your email blaster. This report has the number of successful emails, failed emails and if there was a connection error.

This product does not have reports with bounced back emails, an unsubscribe list, the number of opened emails or an overall summary.

Summary:  

Prospect Mailer is a good marketing email software if you don't need informative reports. The price is about $10 less than higher-ranked programs.
